Remembered (Bound by Time, #1)

Penny Money is a research writer by day and time traveler by night. Well … one night, anyway. And what a night it was! Even better — it could be the beginning of a romance that spans multiple decades and two continents.
Penny’s boss, literary wonder Macsen Yates, is sexy, debonair, and worldly. He selected her from hundreds of other candidates to help “Americanize” his works for the United States market. Did Mac choose Penny because of her knowledge of European history? Or was his choice simply destined to happen?
When Penny receives a postcard and small package from Mac, little does she realize that they will become the catalyst for a travel back in time to Wales, 30 years earlier, when Mac was a young man and the same age as Penny.
The friendship and sensual tension that has been building for over a year combusts into undeniable passion when Penny and Mac meet in person for the first time. Their amorous encounter makes Penny realize that her trip through time was no fluke. Complicating matters, Mac wants to rewrite history with Penny, and not the woman history says he will wed.
But can Penny make a promise to Mac, when her heart tells her that her journey has just begun?

The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy With Autism

**#1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER**

You’ve never read a book like *The Reason I Jump*. Written by Naoki Higashida, a very smart, very self-aware, and very charming thirteen-year-old boy with autism, it is a one-of-a-kind memoir that demonstrates how an autistic mind thinks, feels, perceives, and responds in ways few of us can imagine. Parents and family members who never thought they could get inside the head of their autistic loved one at last have a way to break through to the curious, subtle, and complex life within.

Using an alphabet grid to painstakingly construct words, sentences, and thoughts that he is unable to speak out loud, Naoki answers even the most delicate questions that people want to know. Questions such as: “Why do people with autism talk so loudly and weirdly?” “Why do you line up your toy cars and blocks?” “Why don’t you make eye contact when you’re talking?” and “What’s the reason you jump?” (Naoki’s answer: “When I’m jumping, it’s as if my feelings are going upward to the sky.”) With disarming honesty and a generous heart, Naoki shares his unique point of view on not only autism but life itself. His insights—into the mystery of words, the wonders of laughter, and the elusiveness of memory—are so startling, so strange, and so powerful that you will never look at the world the same way again.

In his introduction, bestselling novelist David Mitchell writes that Naoki’s words allowed him to feel, for the first time, as if his own autistic child was explaining what was happening in his mind. “It is no exaggeration to say that *The Reason I Jump* allowed me to round a corner in our relationship.” This translation was a labor of love by David and his wife, KA Yoshida, so they’d be able to share that feeling with friends, the wider autism community, and beyond. Naoki’s book, in its beauty, truthfulness, and simplicity, is a gift to be shared.

Reaper’s Property

Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.
But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.
Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.
Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.

This book have definitely exceeded my expectations in the quality and quantity of information that was provided. What was great about ‘The Porn Addiction Cure’ was the cure was based on supporting the emotions of the porn addict, and not going on about how you are a bad person for looking up porn. Anyone reading this book, you will learn that once you sort out negative feelings such as depression, anxiety, loneliness and frustration in your life, that anyone can overcome any type of porn addiction. Persuasion

Persuasion is the last novel fully completed by Jane Austen. It was published at the end of 1817, six months after her death. The story concerns Anne Elliot, a young Englishwoman of 27 years, whose family is moving to lower their expenses and get out of debt, at the same time as the wars come to an end, putting sailors on shore. They rent their home to an Admiral and his wife. The wife’s brother, Navy Captain Frederick Wentworth, had been engaged to Anne in 1806, and now they meet again, both single and unattached, after no contact in more than seven years. This sets the scene for many humorous encounters as well as a second, well-considered chance at love and marriage for Anne Elliot in her second “bloom”. The novel was well-received in the early 19th century. Greater fame came later in the century, continued in the 20th century, and through to the 21st century. Much scholarly debate on Austen’s work has since been published. Anne Elliot is noteworthy among Jane Austen’s heroines for her relative maturity. As Persuasion is Austen’s last completed novel, it is accepted as her most maturely written novel showing a refinement of literary conception indicative of a woman approaching forty years of age. Unlike Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice, the novel Persuasion was not rewritten from earlier drafts of novels which Austen had originally started before 1800. Her use of free indirect discourse in narrative was by 1816 fully developed and in full evidence. The first edition of Persuasion was co-published with the previously unpublished Northanger Abbey, written in 1803; later editions of both were published separately. Popular acceptance of the novel was reflected, by two notable made-for-television filmed adaptations released first in Britain: Amanda Root starred in the lead role in the 1995 version co-starring Ciarรกn Hinds, and was followed by Sally Hawkins in the 2007 version made for ITV1 co-starring Rupert Penry-Jones.

Orphan Train

The author of Bird in Hand and The Way Life Should Be delivers her most ambitious and powerful novel to date: a captivating story of two very different women who build an unexpected friendship: a 91-year-old woman with a hidden past as an orphan-train rider and the teenage girl whose own troubled adolescence leads her to seek answers to questions no one has ever thought to ask.
“Christina Baker Kline is not only a deft and snappy writer, but a true cartographer of the human heart.” -Jacquelyn Mitchard
Nearly eighteen, Molly Ayer knows she has one last chance. Just months from “aging out” of the child welfare system, and close to being kicked out of her foster home, a community service position helping an elderly woman clean out her home is the only thing keeping her out of juvie and worse.
Vivian Daly has lived a quiet life on the coast of Maine. But in her attic, hidden in trunks, are vestiges of a turbulent past. As she helps Vivian sort through her possessions and memories, Molly discovers that she and Vivian aren’t as different as they seem to be. A young Irish immigrant orphaned in New York City, Vivian was put on a train to the Midwest with hundreds of other children whose destinies would be determined by luck and chance.
The closer Molly grows to Vivian, the more she discovers parallels to her own life. A Penobscot Indian, she, too, is an outsider being raised by strangers, and she, too, has unanswered questions about the past. As her emotional barriers begin to crumble, Molly discovers that she has the power to help Vivian find answers to mysteries that have haunted her for her entire life – answers that will ultimately free them both.
Rich in detail and epic in scope, Orphan Train is a powerful novel of upheaval and resilience, of second chances, of unexpected friendship, and of the secrets we carry that keep us from finding out who we are.

A compelling story about loss, adaptability, and courage . . . With compassion and delicacy Kline presents a little-known chapter of American history and draws comparisons with the modern-day foster care system. — Library Journal In ORPHAN TRAIN, Christina Baker Kline seamlessly knits together the past and present of two women, one young and one old. Kline reminds us that we never really lose anyone or anything or–perhaps most importantly–ourselves. — Ann Hood, author of The Knitting Circle I loved this book: its absorbing back-and-forth story, its vivid history, its eminently loveable characters. You’ll be talking about it for years to come! — Naples Daily News (FL) A gem. — Huffington Post Absorbing…a heartfelt page-turner about two women finding a sense of home…Kline lets us live the characters’ experiences vividly through their skin…The growth from instinct to conscious understanding to partnership between the two is the foundation for a moving tale. — Publishers Weekly Kline draws a dramatic, emotional story from a neglected corner of American history. — Kirkus Reviews I was so moved by this book. I loved Molly and Vivian, two brave, difficult, true-hearted women who disrupt one another’s lives in beautiful ways, and loved journeying with them, through heartbreak and stretches of history I’d never known existed, out of loneliness toward family and home. — Marisa de los Santos, New York Times-bestselling author of Belong to Me and Falling Together A lovely novel about the search for family that also happens to illuminate a fascinating and forgotten chapter of American history. Beautiful. — Ann Packer, New York Times-bestselling author of The Dive from Clausen’s Pier and Swim Back to Me Christina Baker Kline writes exquisitely about two unlikely friends . . . each struggling to transcend a past of isolation and hardship. ORPHAN TRAIN will hold you in its grip as their fascinating tales unfold. — Cathy Marie Buchanan, New York Times-bestselling author of The Painted Girls Christina Baker Kline’s latest wonder, ORPHAN TRAIN, makes for compulsive reading…Meticulously researched and yet full of the breath of life, Kline’s novel takes us on an historical journey where survival depends upon one’s own steely backbone, and the miracle of a large and generous heart. — Helen Schulman, New York Times-bestselling author of This Beautiful Life A poignant and memorable story of two steadfast, courageous women…A revelation of the universal yearing for belonging, for family, for acceptance and, ultimately, the journeys we must all make to find them. — Kathleen Kent, New York Times-bestselling author of The Heretic’s Daughter and The Traitor’s Wife Reminiscent of Elizabeth Strout’s Amy and Isabel, this Orphan Train carries us along until the stories of these two women become one. — Mary Morris, author of, most recently, Revenge This superbly composed novel tells two parallel stories of suffering and perseverance, capturing the heart and mind equally and remaining mesmerizing through the intensely heart-wrenching conclusion. — Romantic Times, Top Pick The intertwined stories in this novel will surely please those looking for a compelling new read. — Cleveland Plain Dealer One of the most intriguing, tender novels of 2013…This is a warm, satisfying, and inspirational story. — The New Maine Times Book Review

Off Broadway

With the disappearance of her piano player, Avery’s Broadway cabaret is a breath away from ruined, until her agent finds a last minute replacement. Dan is charming and exudes the exact kind of sexiness that will draw in audiences—as quickly as it drew in Avery. But Avery knows better than to give in to her desires. The show is too important to risk, and messing with her piano player might destroy the career that’s just starting to take off. Too bad every time she’s in the same room with Dan, she keeps thinking about the other things she’d like to take off.
A month after landing in the city of dreams, Dan finds himself brokenhearted and broke. Avery’s cabaret is his last desperate attempt to stay in New York. But Avery has every one of his nerve endings on edge—from her perfect ass to her mix of innocence and sex, he finds himself insane with need every time she’s close.
When a bass player joins the act, and makes no secret about what he’d like to do to Avery’s body with his practiced hands, the tension between Dan and Avery grows even more. In an attempt to distract herself from her growing need for Dan, Avery invites the bass player to join her after the show. But when Dan walks into her dressing room, the two men tangle not only for her attention, but for her pleasure. Now Avery’s faced with a choice—her desires, her heart, or her show…
