The Spheres of Heaven

*LOSE THE STARS-
OR LOSE EVERYTHING!*
Spacer Chan Dalton is torn between two masters. The pacifist aliens who hold Earth under Quarantine want him to find out why their starships have been disappearing in the Geyser Swirl, the Bermuda Triangle of the galaxy. Earth’s military, which has secretly discovered a way to break the quarantine, assumes that someone out there is making ships vanish, including Earth’s, and wants Dalton to find the culprits and hopefully stop them — with extreme prejudice, if necessary.
The trouble is, the aliens hold the taking of intelligent life, even in selfdefense, to be the greatest of sins. It was Earth’s violent ways (in defense of the damned pacifist aliens!) that led to the quarantine in the first place — and if Dalton is forced to fight, it will unveil, and so destroy, Earth’s final chance to reach for the stars again.
So when Dalton does indeed discover the hostile invaders responsible for the lost starships, he is faced with an impossible decision: Fight and lose access to space forever; or allow a rapacious enemy to run riot over all that he holds dear…

This book should come with hot buttered popcorn.”NEWSWEEKA group of American scientists are rushed to a huge vessel that has been discovered resting on the ocean floor in the middle of the South Pacific. What they find defines their imaginations and mocks their attempts at logical explanation. It is a spaceship of phenomenal dimensions, apparently, undamaged by its fall from the sky. A Spell for Chameleon

Xanth was the enchanted land where magic ruled–where every citizen had a special spell only he could cast. That is, except for Bink of North Village. According to the Good Magician Humpfrey, the charts said that Bink was as powerful as the King or even the Evil Magician Trent. Unfortunately, no one could determine its form. Spectroscopy of Semiconductors

The science and technology related to semiconductors have received significant attention for applications in various fields including microelectronics, nanophotonics, and biotechnologies. Understanding of semiconductors has advanced to such a level that we are now able to design novel system complexes before we go for the proof-of-principle experimental demonstration.

This book explains the experimental setups for optical spectral analysis of semiconductors and describes the experimental methods and the basic quantum mechanical principles underlying the fast-developing nanotechnology for semiconductors. Further, it uses numerous case studies with detailed theoretical discussions and calculations to demonstrate the data analysis. Covering structures ranging from bulk to the nanoscale, it examines applications in the semiconductor industry and biomedicine. Starting from the most basic physics of geometric optics, wave optics, quantum mechanics, solid-state physics, it provides a self-contained resource on the subject for university undergraduates. The book can be further used as a toolbox for researching and developing semiconductor nanotechnology based on spectroscopy.

The Spark

In the time of the Ancients the universe was united – but that was so far in the past that not even memory remains, only the broken artifacts that a few Makers can reshape into their original uses. What survives is shattered into enclaves – some tiny, some ruined, some wild.
Into the gaps between settlements, and onto the road that connects all human reality and the reality that is not human and may never have been human, have crept monsters. Some creatures are men, twisted into inhuman evil; some of them are alien to Mankind – and there are things which are hostile to all life, things which will raven and kill until they are stopped.
A Leader has risen, welding the scattered human settlements together in peace and safety and smashing the enemies of order with an iron fist. In his capital, Dun Add, the Leader provides law and justice. In the universe beyond, his Champions advance – and enforce – the return of civilization.
Pal, a youth from the sticks, has come to Dun Add to become a Champion. Pal is a bit of a Maker, and in his rural home he’s been able to think of himself as a warrior because he can wield the weapons of the Ancient civilization.
Pal has no idea of what he’s really getting into in Dun Add. On the other hand, the Leader and Dun Add have no real idea of what might be inside this hayseed with high hopes.

Space Team: The Time Titan of Tomorrow

**Cal Carver’s time is about to run out.** He and his Space Team are broke. Forced to take low-paying gun-for-hire jobs just to keep the food replicator working, their prospects are not looking good. When they pick up a distress signal from a luxury space cruiser, they think their luck might be about to change. And it does. Sadly, not in the way they’d hoped. Someone has detonated a Time Bomb aboard the cruiser – an experimental device designed to shatter time itself. As the team passes through the fragments, their personal timelines begin moving at very different speeds, and an ageing Cal is forced to live out decades aboard the ship surrounded by his now statue-like crew mates and the mutated, inbred descendants of the cruiser’s former inhabitants. As if that isn’t bad enough, the Time Bomb was just a test for the real weapon – a weapon that could spell a fate worse than death for Space Team, and the enslavement of the entire galaxy. **Featuring giant space babies, reverse mermaids and the most dangerous man in existence, *Space Team: The Time Titan of Tomorrow* is the eighth fast and frantic adventure in the *Space Team* comedic scifi series.**

Space Team

**The galaxy just called for help. Unfortunately, the wrong man answered.**
When small-time conman, Cal Carver, is thrown in jail and forced to share a cell with a semi-naked cannibalistic serial killer, he’s pretty sure his day can’t get any worse.
Boy, is he wrong.
It isn’t until two-thirds of the human race is wiped out and Cal is mistakenly abducted by aliens that things *really* start to go downhill.
Whisked across the galaxy, Cal is forced into a team of some of the sector’s most notorious villains and scumbags and tasked with delivering a package to a warlord-run solar system where the authorities daren’t venture.
The mission should be simple enough, but as one screw-up leads to another the ragtag group of unwitting heroes find themselves in a frantic battle to save an entire alien civilization – and its god – from total annihilation.
Featuring epic space battles, hilariously snarky characters, and a shapeshifting blob with the face of Tobey Maguire, **Space Team** is the first book in the internationally bestselling series by award-winning author, Barry J. Hutchison.
**Perfect for fans of *The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Galaxy Quest, Guardians of the Galaxy*, and pretty much anything else with the word ‘Galaxy’ in the title.***
*Except Samsung’s *Galaxy S* series, which is a range of mobile devices, and so not really similar.
**You don’t really want to stick around on Earth, do you? Have you seen the state of the place? Buy Space Team now, or read FREE on Kindle Unlimited, and blast off on an action-packed adventure that’ll have you laughing your puny human head off.**
(Not literally.)

“I cannot remember the last time a book made me literally laugh out loud. Not a low “haha” to yourself, not a big smile as you turn the page, LAUGH out LOUD. As in, having to stop and put it down to wipe your eyes. Having to remember to bite your lip so the people around you don’t think you’re undermedicated.”
